Question Engine temp on 02 s-10

I own a 97 s10 blazer and a 02 s10both with the 4.3l. My question is in my 02 s10 the temp is 210 degrees or around half way and the blazer 180 or around 1/4 the way up the gauge. The only difference in the 02 it runs dextron and the balzer has antifreeze in it. Is this normal operating temp for the 02 or is something up. Thanxs for your time.

More important than the indicated temperature is a change (over time) not related to hard work such as climbing hills or carrying a load. The factory guages are not very accurate. If the indicated temperatures have not been going up, then you are probably OK. Keep an eye on your fluid level, just to make sure it does not get low.

Re: Engine temp on 02 s-10

I have an '02 s-10 4.3. Temp indicator runs at 210 degrees or slightly under.
