Improving A/C System + Clicking Problem

I have a 95 Civic DX Sedan and I wanna make the A/C system better on it... also my current system clicks like a mofo when i brake hard or turn hard... and has a constant humming noise.. anyone know what the problem is and if I can do any replacements to make it cool the car faster... Thanks in advance.

Re: Improving A/C System + Clicking Problem

I don't think the clicking is your AC, sounds more like a CV joint if it's clicking when you brake and turn

Yea, I'm with them. Check your CV joints. Clicking under hard braking and cornering sounds like a CV joint. I doubt it's coming from the A/C system.

But the clicking stops once the A/C is turned off... and what exactly and where are these CV joints located?

The CV joint is the Constant Velocity Joint...it's located behind the front wheels along the drive shafts underneath the CV boot.

Your AC pump could be messed up. I just remembered that my friend got a clicking noise when his AC was turned on, and we were looking in the engine bay and he had like lumps of melted metal that had cooled and dried on his pump, it was the strangest thing. Don't know what caused it, but we decided to just cut the belt for it and say screw it.
