Question Figured I'd help you guys out with some turbo questions

Well, lately there have been a lot of people at customtacos.com asking questions about turbos and superchargers. I did a search and came up with this site as well. It seems to be the general consensus that turbos are in fact better and more reliable. It seems that the supercharger on tacomas cause more problems than anything else. You can go to www.customtacos.com and do a search for threads concerning this. I have a turbo on my 99 tacoma. Mine was a custom built kit with a Turbonetics T3 turbo and delta wastegate with a HKS BOV. Doesnt seem that hard to do, but here's a list of people where you can buy kits for the Toyota Tacoma. From what has been said, EL prototypes and LC Engineering are still working the bugs out of their turbos, so the best bet is probably to either hold off on those for a bit and allow them time for R&D, or else build your own kit. Here are the sites:

STS (Squires Turbo systems): www.ststurbo.com (3.4L only)
EL prototypes: 2.4L available: www.elprototypes.com
LC Engineering: 2.4L available: www.lcengineering.com

Maybe this can help. Just my
