Has anybody heard anything good about the TurboSmart Dual Port Blow Off Valve it vents to the intake & vents to the atmosphere and was wondering if it would be a good choice to both have the driveability of venting it to the intake but also having that sweet pstttt sound. What do you think about this one?

Re: Bov

I've never heard about that BOV... so I don't know. I'd recommend one that DSM vendors sell. I'm NOT going to tell you if you should vent, in an effort to make you learn for yourself. There are 100 threads about it already.

Ive also read thousands of thread talking about the possibilities of venting and how it could be damaging. DSMparts carries this bov. But since it does both at the same time venting to the intake and also to the atmosphere it seems like it would be ok to use. Just wondering if anybody else out there has any experience or has heard of this bov. I really like the sound of a bov and want it to be louder but i dont want my car to run bad at the same time and it seems like this could give you the best of both worlds. Let me know what yall think about it.

Re: Bov

There is no such thing as venting and not venting at the same time. MOST aftermarket BOV's that recirculate back into the intake are a lot louder than stock.

Not loud enough. It does do both not really sure how but the bov has two openings at each end one dumps it into the intake and the other to the atmosphere so you dont get the horrible effects of just venting to the atmosphere at least this is what im assuming go to www.dsmparts.com then you will see which bov im talking about but i guess this is fairly new because i cannot find any reviews about it anywhere so im sorta stuck on what to get.

Re: Bov

I said AT THE SAME TIME. That BOV sounds like the biggest piece of shit ever. If it vents at high boost you still have problems. If it vents SOME air at any boost, you have half the problems. I wouldn't put that on my car if someone paid me.

Re: Bov

I haven't seen any proof that it actually solves any problems. It's either like half-venting, or venting half the time. Get a 1g BOV and recirculate.

O. Well i might try it and see how it works anyway if not il juss sell it on ebay or sumtin. I went to a site that said its ok to use on dsm and wont have a fuel cut prob or wutever cant remember where tho. If not i will just vent to intake with some other bov what kinda should i get? Ive got a 90 eclipse so i already have a 1g bov but i want something louder will a new bov venting to the intake be louder than the 1g or is that pretty much the best you could get? Obviously i dont know much when it comes to bov lol just help me out on this.

Re: Bov

Don't buy a new BOV because its louder. I don't know which ricer BOV is the loudest, but if you want it loud, you shouldn't recirculate. Get the parts to vent so your car doesn't run poorly.
