Re: About golf

No Golf V's here yet. They do not sell SKODA or SEAT in the USA.

I know that the older Golf GTi's offer more of a 'buzz', but the newer Golfs appeal is that of a larger refined vehicle. They are priced in the mainstream but they offer a feel, style and finish of a German prestige car several times up the price scale. I would much rather a Golf R32 or Audi S3 over say a Subaru WRX or Mitsu Lancer EVO. I know the two Jap buzz boxes are probably a little quicker and more raucous but who cares? the Germans offer much of that performance, as well as the style , prestige and class long with it.
Anyhoo I have read the Golf V has much more off an emphasis of sporty handling than ever before and the 147KW (200BHP) GTi 2.0 Turbo coming out next year (or later this year?) will definately be a force to be reckoned with.
