trunk lock problem

The lock on my trunk door won't move. When I attempt to close it, it just bounces off. Even when I put the key in and try to close it with the key turned in any direction, it won't shut. What can I try now?

Have you checked the latch? sometimes the latch can be closed thought the door is open. Like the latch for the door if you move that over sometimes you cant close the door.
