Lucky

None of you people understand how lucky you are to have access to such mental cars at mental prices.

Example of what I am getting at. At the moment there are only 13 GTO's in total for sale Australia wide and only one of them in my city. That one is a 92 model GTO (you call them VR4) and that is going for $30000AUD (about $22500 US)

Between my friends and I, we have only ever seen 5 of them in our city.

That sucks for you, of course you can always find one on Auto Trader somewhere else and have it shipped and you could do all of this for probably half the price you would pay in Austrailia.

Well yeah thats what i intend to do. Im currently halfway through importing a Celica GT4 (alltrac i think you call then) and a 300zx.

It isnt cost efficient to import a car over from USA. The actual shipping prices are far too high. From Japan it is going to be about $2600 AUD (bout $2000 US) in shipping. plus Rego $300 plus taxes bout $2000 plus new tires $800 plus compliance bout $6000.... It all adds up... too alot.

Due to the Australian import laws, I cant import anything that has been sold by a dealership. They stopped selling GTO's in 1996 so i can import a GTO that is older than 1996. it would end up costing about $38,000 to get a 96+ GTO into Australia.

It does actually add up to be cheaper to import but its still expensive.

Give me 8mths and then i will be able to import a 1990 GTO under our 15year rule but until then......

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
