Question A/C Compressor

How can I find out which brand compressor my 1990 CRX HF takes? It didn't have one on it when I bought it, or the guys that did the motor swap took it out so I have no idea which one i'm supposed to have will the Matsushita or the Sanden work? Thanks.

Re: A/C Compressor

do you still have the a/c lines in your engine bay? If you post a pic of the lines that connect to the compressor i can tell you what compressor you will need.

Re: A/C Compressor

I did the same thing when I put the new engine in my sedan. A/C lines where broken, so I removed everything. Have it all piled up in the corner of my garage still :P

How EXACTLY do I know that this one will work? if you were looking at my mounting bolt-holes from the front, it looks as if the bottom 2 bolts are straight horizontal, then the top two are slanted, the upper left bolt is higher than the upper right. if that helps

well check this out...

Sanden compressor...

and the Matsu...

Re: A/C Compressor

you will need to match the a/c mount bracket with the appropriate compressor sanden/sanden matsu. /matsu.. If your two upper mounting bolts on the a.c bracket are slanted, then you got yourself a matsu bracket. Thats what i have in my 91 si.
