can a 93 vr4 beat a mustang gt?

heres whats going down my science teacher says that when i get my 93 vr4 he will race me the first day i get it if i can.but he has a stock 97 and stock 98 mustang GT.do i have a chance in beating him?or should i tell him wait a week and ill get a boost controller (14.5psi)and gauge and afc and intake nad downpipe and totally spank him?

Well, the car is certainly capable of beating him. Racing him the first day you get it though will probably result in a loss for you. Only because it takes time to get the feel of any new car. Tell him you'll need a week to get the hang of it first.

Then tell the superintendent of schools to fire him for wanting to race a student.

There won't be any need for the extra parts, the 97-98 GT's had less horsepower than the 99-04 generation GT's they were replaced with, your car has enough performance to spank him as-is, but i would still take the advice to wait a week, get a good feel for the car, learn the best way to launch, shift, figure out the best shift-points so you aren't revving needlessly through RPM's that won't give you any more power, etc., and then go stick it to him.
