Hey, I'm thinking about getting an 84 Camaro RS, with a v6. It's a blue t-top and a 5speed. has about 94000 miles on the car.
Just curious if it sounds like a good deal for $1500. Also an elderly couple had it when they retired in 1985. so it was always adult driven. Thanks. |

if it was owned by old folks it was probly taken care of, but you can get a V8 for that price.

Re: 1984 RS Camaro
eh, dunno what kinda shape that V8 would be, if that car is solid, and well taken care of. i think its worth the money by far, you could buy a V8 for that price, but it would be a project car. at least how camaros are priced where i am. id say go with the solid car, the V6 performance leaves a bit to be desired, but the five speed will allow you to get the most out of it. and you can always upgrade to a V8 later on. its a bit of a project, but doable.

Re: 1984 RS Camaro
I've drove it, and it runs pretty good actually. It's very straight...and where i come from alot of chevy boys like to get hold of the old camaro's with the v8s so theres very few around here to purchase.

if ya like it and it's what you want then buy it. just do a good visual inspection over everything and a drivablity test.
i wouldn't buy a camaro unless it had a V8 but that's just my personal preference, i think a small block has a lot more potential at a lower cost. but hey, it's a camaro
