trans question

I have a 95 grandam v6 3.1 liter automatic trans.
Few months ago oil light came on couldnt find a problem so i ignored it.
Now while driving my car when I stop or make a turn my car seems to shift into neutral so i have to tap the gas several times to get the gear to engage. So i changed oil and oil filter, tranny fluid and filter and now its worse. I noticed yesterday while driving, the car was driving well with only one slip up on a turn and oil light was not on. Now that oil light is back on car drives crappy as usual. Any suggestions on the problem would be appreciated.
