Perfomance chip/ecu

So i was just wondering if any one had any noticeable performance gains using those jet chips i was thinking of picking one up but so far hear its probably not worth the dough. Has anyone swaped out their ecu for a mopar performance ecu? or how about the hypertech programmers..
