Golf - I don't get this bit.............
O.K.......Man gets paid large amounts of money to hit small white ball with stick,yes I can cope with that.....Man gets U.S.$2.5 Million to come and play a N.Z.Open golf tournament,yes,I can handle that....Man comes sixth in the tournament with a top prize of onlyU.S.$90,000 dollars and still pockets his 2.5 million,makes sense to me...
But what I don't understand is,if he can only muster sixth place in a fairly mediocre field,why does Tiger Woods warrant a major chunk of this weeks TVNZ news coverage when the winner gets bugger all attention?!!!

I think tiger gets more attention just cause hes younger and more popular than other golfers on the pro golf circuit.

I think all top level sports people are paid way to much $$$$.
The love for the game has been replaced by the amount in the back pocket now
