take out cigarette lighter, there are two bolts there under the dash. 10mm i think. then use a flathead to pop off the console. i recently did a stereo install in a new 4dr civic.

no it should pop right off, i think it was the cigarette lighter, or it was whatever square is right under the center dash

wait is it a stick shift? cuz if so the stickshift is right in the middle of the dash i believe, and the place where i originally got my stereo removal instructions said that it only works on autos

its an automatic.....are you trying to say that all i gotta do is remove the 2 squares by the cigarette lighter w/ a flathead...and then from those two holes i can get to the two bolts holding in the center dash part

i remember only popping one square off, which i believe was the cigarette lighter tray/trim whatever, then look in there and there were two bolts under the dash.
