Firewall
I have a 97 GMC Sierra and need to find a place to run the power cord to the battery, and I can not find a place to run it through the firewall.

Re: Firewall
You may have to drill a hole and place a rubber grommet it in. Thats what I had to do in my 2003 Malibu.

Re: Firewall
I think drilling a hole is your best bet. Depending on what gauge wire you are using there may not be an existing hole it can fit through.

Where would be the best place to drill a hole?

Re: Firewall
Werever the wire needs to go and somewere you wont be able to see it from the inside. Make sure you use a grommet.

Re: Firewall
i thought i had the same prob with my 99 dakota, but there was this rubber casing in the firewall right next to the steering column, about 5 inches away, i kind of stabbed a hole big enough for the cord to fit through, there may be something like that with yours

Re: Firewall
I would drill it by the pedals.. so u can have the wires going from around the side of the door.
