inking tutorial

Well it's not a true tutorial in the sense that I didn't employ any educational theories, and I didn't follow any learning modules, but I did kinda write what I was doing and have lots of step by step stuff in this one.

Once again it's a shirt, (sorry, but I get $$ for'em $400 per design) but there is some decent inking stuff in it.

In the future I will break down a real tight one for you fellas. Maybe that Scion Xb I've got in my queue...hmmmmm

Well I noticed halfway down, during the inking proccess, after the moose, Larry should be capitalized.
Right before you start working with the image after inking on the computer you spelled Photoshop Photshop.
At the very bottom when you have finished you once again didnt capitalize Larry and also forgot the apostrophe after stickin since its slang.

You pale in comparison to the writers I work with on a daily basis. They eat posters like you for breakfast. There are 7 of them and I have gotten to the point where I don't feel the need to be too type "A" on matters like that. You know what I mean.

My question for you is did you learn anything about inking?

You know since you said that I was going to go through it with a microscope.

And no I didnt learn anything, I just looked for mispelled words. I'll read it again tommorrow to try and learn.

But I do believe since you made those mistakes I should get a free shirt.

I'll try to get a much better thing up here soon. I've been real busy lately.

To answer your pen question, I use Pigma Micron pens. Waterproof, acid-free, archival and insanely BLACK. They come in many sizes. As soon as I started using them my koh-i-noor tech pen set dried up.

For larger fill areas I use a fat sharpie. Lately I have been using dip pens because I'm an old guy and I like to pretend I'm like the really old guys.

Thanks for the tutorial.

I'll have to see about those microns, because usually I just use sharpies for inking if I need it.

micron pens are really good for outlines, the come in red, green, black, blue, orange, and yellow at least those are good ones that I have seen. They also come in different line wieghts, the thinest is .005 I think.
