Supercharger

Does anyone know about the centrifugal superchargers??? They seem like they would be easier than the roots. Does anyone know where i can get one for a 3.4?? I have found them for the LT1 et. but that doesn't help. Has anyone supercharged the 3.4?? Thanks guys.

I want a V-8 sooooo bad. MORE POWER!!

Re: Supercharger

What make the difference in a 3.4L SC to a 3.8, or even higher. Isn't a centrifugal supercharger a centrifugal supercharger?? I am told that stock engine can with stand 9lbs of boost?? Agree or disagree??

Re: Supercharger

no one makes a super charger for the 3.4L. the main difference between the 3.4 and the 3.8 is the block. the 3.4 is a bored out 2.8, and the 3.8 is a cast 3.8 (from what ive heard on this forum, i.e. dont crucify me if its wrong). but you are correct, a charger is a charger. the difference is in mounting points and the parts that come with the system. you will need a fuel regulator and a computer upgrade. you also need a pulley that will run the charger as well as the accesories that you have on your car. i was thinking about making my own system but dont have anywhere near the money needed for such a venture...

the 3.4 is also a 60 degree V6 while the 3.8 and 4.3 are 90 degree v6's....
seriously spend the money on a GTP 3.8 SC conversion or on an Lt1 or LS1 conversion.
