Are HUDs cool?

My HUD is not working but my friend has one in his Bonneville and he says it makes him go cross-eyed so he doesn't use it often.

Do people use the HUD alot? Does anyone know where I can purchase one if I decide to get one. Thanks

Re: Are HUDs cool?

I love the HUD on my GP.

Just wish it was a bit darker in sunlight, but otherwise its great.

Thumbs up very cool!

I agree with Ripn12s, a little brighter would be nice in the sun. Once you get used to it, it is awsome!

Except for the sunlight, I absolutely love mine.

Re: Are HUDs cool?

I've gotten used to mine, I have a very hard time driving without it. I've had a '97 Bonneville, '97 GTP, and my current '99 GTP with HUD's. I feel lost without it...and I too wish mine were brighter in sunlight.

Re: Are HUDs cool?

I'll be the one voice of dissent...after several years I still find myself glancing at the gauge panel. Not that the hud bothers me, I just don't find it useful. Now if it had a Tach up there, that would be a different story.

The HUD rawks. I hate taking my eyes off the road to see my speed and CD track
