Importing '03+ Honda Integra Type R

I am looking into importing an ITR, and I need a little information.

Are there any companies or dealers that will ship and do the importing for you? If there are, what well-known dealers are there without any of them ripping you off or cheating you?

If I buy one and ship it from Japan, how much would the US emissions on the car cost?

Would the new Integra Type R be street-legal?

I don't know all the answers but i do know from reading about such events in the past. If you are importing a car from another country that no one really has or there isn't a U.S. model of it then you have to go through a process where they make it legal for the U.S. So basically they change a bunch of stuff until it is street legal. It is pretty spendy too.

yeah if i were you i would just buy an RSX type-s then spend the extra money on making it haul cause for the cost of getting a japanese model importing it then making it legal. you could make one hell of an rsx type-s

yea , i agree with the psycho on this one ... just get a type s and switch out some parts for type r parts , like cams, header, im .... it would be much cheaper , however the new SI with a k20 ITR swap would be VERY interesting !!

nah, i think the last year for the integra was in 2001. In 2002 the rsx came out to replace the teg.

Other than the RSX didn't relace it, more like they renamed it... I'm pretty sure the Type-R in Japan went to 2002... Atleast according the engine code the K20A was in the Type-R till 2002... from I guess 2001 or something.

Re: Importing '03+ Honda Integra Type R

All you need to leagalize is a RHD stock, an exaust the has a cat, and some really pricey insurence. Somebody find HondaIntegraXSI, even though I think he is a complete moron, I know he has a RHD DA6 Integra, I have seen it -all the shit he says he has on it.

www.JDMshit.com then go to Used Integra parts. shipping is like $75-$100 bucks though, and all the bumpers are completely straight.
