New to this

hello all I am new to this and want to take care of my Ford Windstar for as long as I can. I am a widow and therefore all the work that is done on this will be done by gargage attendants.
I dont want to get ripped off by them so will ask what I need to know here first if ya'll don't mind giving me some advise and answers.
