someone please help 1994 explorer loosing power

When Driving My 1994 Ford Explorer I Can Being Running At 55 And Then When I Go To Accelerate I Can Push The Gas Pedal All The Way To The Floor And The Rpms Go Up But The Vehical Looses Power But When I Let Off The Gas And Push Down A Little It Starts Running Normal Again But You Cant Press All The Way Down On The Gas Because There Is Still No Power I Replaced The Fuel Filter it is still Doing It there is no acceleration it has to work its way up slowing to finally get going you cant just take off Do You Think It Could Be The Plugs Or Air Filter Or It Is Something With The Fuel maybe pump please help

When you say, "lose power", do you mean it's as if you took your foot completely off the gas? If so, I think you're on the right track. Fuel. I had a similar problem with an old car a LOOOOOONG time ago, so take it for what it's worth. My problem turned out to be the fuel filter, but if you've already checked that I would next look at the fuel pump.

If the power loss in intermittent or less drastic then you start looking at air filter, vacuum hoses, etc.

I've always believed in the when-you're-confused-replace-something-cheap approach.
