Cavalier to Firebird

Hey all I currently own a 1996 chevy cavalier 2.2l and I am thinking of buying a late 90's Firebird... I need to know your opinion on the Firebird as far as ride, handling, reliability, quality, mpg, etc...I would greatly appreciate some imput....I'm thinking of a formula btw. but also consider the 6cyl
Thanks,

if your going to get a firebird....dont! get a trans am. you can do much more to it that a sixer. rides great handles like a sports car and mpg.... if your concerned about the gas... the cars not for you. its a sports car. it goeas through some gas liek nothing. find something more suitable for you

Re: Cavalier to Firebird

Get a 98+ Trans AM if the firebird styling is your cue. Don't bother with the V6 model if you are looking for performance. There is so much more you can do out of the V8s and you would enjoy it alot more.

I actually couldn't be happier since I purchased mine. Since Feb of 03, I've installed all bolt-ons + LS1 Edit / dyno tuned by a local performance shop. Netting around 320hp and 336tq currently on the wheels (mustang dynometer) And I'm pretty darn happy with this setup

Only thing left is LS6 intake and LT Headers and I'll be complete.

Good luck to you.
