Trek vs GLS, etc.

I am searching for a transmission for my 96 Trek. Anyone know if transmissions are interchangeable between the Trek and other versions of Jetta such as the GLS or others? Or do I need to confine my search specifically to the Trek line?

IMHO they should all be the same just a Trans for a 2.0. I think the 1.8T trans will fit as well.

The difference between a Jetta Trek and a GLS, is that one of the two came with a bike on top of it. As far as the technology, it is all the same, with exception of a wether you have a 1.8 or a 2.0 engine.

The Trek came with the bike. Other than that and the badge there is no difference.
