Cheapest for most Horse Power?

I need a list of things that are the cheapest to start off of on my 92 Civic Si that will produce the most Horse Power or just Performance overall. (I.E. intake..etc) I'll be getting a B18c1 soon if that helps.

Re: Cheapest for most Horse Power?

intake or exhaust will barely give you any noticable power, the cheapest way to gain the most power would be with Nitrous, but i woudnt go for that. Whats the point of spending money on performance parts for you SI motor when you say you're getting a swap soon?

Re: Cheapest for most Horse Power?

Look At the latest issue of Import Tuner...25 universal power gains for under $150...Its kinda informative but Im broke so even stuff under 150 I cant afford...

exactly what I was gonna say. If you're going to be swapping don't waste your money on things that you can't use on the gsr motor, such as intake, header, and other bolt ons that you don't know anything about that you want to put onto your stock motor. You could go ahead and upgrade your exhaust, ignition and shit like that though.

Re: Cheapest for most Horse Power?

Yeah n20 would be the best bang for the buck. And if your getting a swap only buy parts that will fit the new motor as well.

ok, well then what can i start buying for my GSR besides NOS and Turbo that'll help add HP or just plain performance, of course staying with the topic of somewhat cheap things?

more airflow equals more power..go with intake, exuast, headers, and an intake manifold, thats around 30 whp for under 2 grand..once u do that its turbo time

Re: Cheapest for most Horse Power?

1st off, this thread is 6 months old

Secondly, doing those mods and then getting a turbo is fucking pointless. You'd have to get rid your header, intake and depending on pipe size your exhaust too. And there is no way in hell that a combination of those parts would make 30 whp. Put down the magazines and do some real research.
