Question Its gettin' sick!

My 95 neon SOHC is having 1 problem that giving me he double hocky sticks.
I can be driving at just about any speed at any random time the engin will die like i just turned off the key. when it does this even if i'm going
60 the speedo drops to 0.
What I have found. when it does this. It gererally wont restart.
I can go out (with the ingition on) and wiggle the plug going to the
PCM and the PCM begins to squeel. I can then restart it.
I pulled the PCM, dug out all the potting goo, and checked where the
plug solders to the main printed circuit (PC) board. I found that there was cracking of the solder joint around where the (Ground / Shield ) connects to the PC board in the 5 spots where it connected.
I re-soldered the connections and reinstalled the PCM.
Ran great for a week then suddenly it did it again.
So basicly what I wan't to know is. is most likely the PCM or is it most likely the PCM connector that going bad?
I dont want to buy a replacement PCM and still have the same problem.
FYI I have got my fair use out of my little neon. 230K and still going.
1 headgasket and 1 upstream O2 sensor is all thats given me problems till now other than the usual consumable stuff like brakes, tires and so on. Ive put 3 timeing belts on her and kept the oil and filters chainged regularly.

Re: Its gettin' sick!

It could be a broken wire that you can't see because the rubber sheild is ok but inside the wire, it is broke. Most of the time, that happen around connectors. Try checking the resistance of each wire around connectors. Start with the 12v and ground around the PCM big connector.
12v=Red with white strips gauge 18

look at this, could interest you, I did not have time to read it

Wouldn't that trigger a check engin light?
I'm going to look at that anyway, cause it does kind of make sense.
