Can anyone tell me how tough it is to replace the heater core in a 91 suburban with A/C..... Does the dash need to be removed? etc.....thanks

Re: Heater Core replacement 1991

I looked in my GM book and it doesn't look too tough. You'll have to pull the glove box and do the typical contorsionist routine in the passenger floorboard but it looks doable for the DIY. On the outside firewall, pull the hoses and unbolt the plenum from the studs. In the dash start disassembling the air box from the bottom. Requires the disconnect of a couple of air door controls.
