How much does a Type R cost?

My friend wants to get a Type R, he doesn't want one with TOO much mileage...maybe something around 60K miles. He's got 7K saved up, how long does he have to save up to get a Type R that has 60K miles on it? Thanks Ya'll!!

Now how would we be able to know how long he has to save without knowing how much he can save in a certain amount of time?

I just blue booked Type-Rs and I'm from Northern California. A '97 came to around $11,000, while a 2001 was rated at about $16,000, both with 60,000 miles. That should give you an idea.

Re: How much does a Type R cost?

the type r's that are in good condition sell for more now than they retailed for in their production date.

it is a very rare car, and a race car out of the box.

go look around on autotrader... a lot go for 20-25k

Yeah I've noticed that highly desirable cars like Type-Rs and Supras sell for well over their Blue Book values. If anyone is bored sometime, check this out...Link . Obviously this car has been highly modified, but still. Anayway...if you want a good idea of what Type-Rs are selling for check this out...Link . That will give you a good idea of what to expect. That's how I find out how much certain cars are going for.

Re: How much does a Type R cost?

i'm sure someone is willing to pay that... a supra with 12k original miles.

and if i had $11,500 i would SO buy this R.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

jdm b18c with 35k miles. nice R minus the seats...

i dunno where you guys live, but a 97 Integra TYPE r would be nice for 11-13k . Hell, the cheapest around here is 20 grand for that car..

By the way, I try to blue book a Type R on KBB.com, but with my zipcode, it says that the type R doesnt exist in its database.. odd?
