Re: oil leak what to do?
First things first make sure that the oil level is correct, and that the vacuum hoses are hooked up correctly. If all is well here then...
remove the oil fill fill cap from the valve cover, is there a lot of gas comming out, what happens when you goose the throttle, does it suck a little, or just keep blowing out? (carefull you dont get hot oil in your eyes) The engine may even die when you take off the cap, I reccomed if it dies or if it "blows" out of the filler hole with the fill cap off that you do a compression test on the engine and see what your compression looks like in all (four?) holes. Ps Year, model, engine, tranny and any other info on the truck would help, has recent work been done to it, any info you gives will help us give you as much of the benefits of our mistakes as possible ![]() Nate |

also check for a clogged pcv valve. did you clean your throttle body? it's probably gummed up with crap too.
