Transmission Installation T5 in 91 4WD 302 F150?
I have a 91 4WD 302 I6 F150 which I am planning on selling soon, but I won't be able to sell it with a transmission that won't go in 1st or 2nd... Currently it has a 5speed with the towing package (probably different gear ratios than stock 5spd I'm guessing?). I found a Mustang 5.0 with a T5 in it that the owner is selling the engine and transmission. I'm not sure, but I heard that the tranny mounts for the T5 will work in my truck because I have a 4.9 I6 and the FE5.0 v8 was available for my truck... So am I able to install the T5 in my truck? I will probably not be able to use 4 low because of the gears being different I'm guessing... but I just need something to get me to work until I sell the guy. Will it work or am I just kidding myself?

no, it will not work. The t5 has a different length tail shaft.

Ok thanks. I figured that out cuz of the 4wd box at the end of the tailshaft.. I just didn't take the time to look under the car.
