Speedo question!

On a 2000 van is the mileage memory in the ECM or in the Speedo cluster? If I replace the cluster with a used one- what mileage will it show? The van it came from or my van? I want to change to a Kilometer unit from miles - is that a big deal?

im not sure what it will read out. my guess is that it will read your actual mileage. even if it reads the mileage from the new cluster, the dealer can still connect the drbIII and read your actual mileage from the ecm. they are supposed to do this when you trade your car in.

I'm not positive, but I believe the mileage is stored inside the body computer located behind the center console??
