I'm trying to replace the rear rotors on my '00 4x4 blazer. I've got the caliper and caliper mount off ant the rotor should just slide off. It seems to be stuck. It'll only wiggle a little bit. Is there a trick to get it off or should I just get out the bigger hammer?
Thanks in advance, Jason |

Re: Rear Rotors
make sure the e-brake is backed off. you might have to remove the plug on the rear of the backing plate and turn the star wheel with a brake spoon or screwdriver. a bigger hammer might work as long as you don't damage the e-brake mechanism.
good luck guys |

I finally got them off. It was the e-brake that was haging them up. Even with the brake all the way off it still kept jamming them up. Just used a rubber mallet and wiggled them until they moved some. Then used a then pry bar to pry them off. The new ones no go on and off with ease even after using the brakes and e-brake. I guess after a few years they'll be just like these were.
