86.5 supra... i need more power...what can i do??
i really want to add more power to my car, and i want to get at least 300 hp within the year, what can i do to get there, i know about the 2jz engine swap and thats a huge possibility...but i cant find one, i also have been told that a sr20 engine could be a possibility, is that true? if so how hard would it be to do either of those in my car? i currently have an 7mge so would that swap work? if anybody can tell me what else i can do to my car besides an engine swap, that would be great

Re: 86.5 supra... i need more power...what can i do??
If 300hp is your gole then a 7m-gte swap is the best thing, plus later on down the road when you learn more about the workings and understand what it takes you will be able to achieve much more. The SR20 should stay in a Nissan, and a 2jz swap is going to be a huge waste of time and money IMO if you don't plan on 600-700+ reliably/daily. Your probably not going to get 300hp out of a N/A unless you up the compression, intake, exhaust, nitrous, maybe even some fuel management. Either way it's going to be alot more time, money, and effort than simply swapping in a 7m-gte, I've covered exactly what you need to complete the swap on this site if you do a quick search in the "Supra" section. If your just looking for a quick bang/buck mod then maybe you should look at the peaco/pacesetter header and a full 2.5" exhaust. Just don't expect huge gains from it, if it was me in your shoes I would just save the money for a turbo swap (7m-gte). Good luck on whatever you choose.
