Going for a 97 Talon need to know what to expect
I have owned a 1g Talon TSI AWD for 4 years as my first car. I want to get a 2g now and I have selected the 97 as my body style of choice. I know that the turbos have a problem with a walking crankshaft and one of the sensors that reads from it. I would like to know if there is anything else I should look out for. I have been reading through the forums but I want to know if there are major problems not just situational problems. Just list the model and major problems you know.

DSM trannies are notoriously bad, but you prolly already knew that.

Oh yea, I forgot. I also heard that the turbos on DSM motors tend to die out at about 125,000. If you're looking into a 97, you prolly don't have much to worry about right now, but it's something to think about.
