Key won't go in???
I have a 2000 Ford Focus, and am having a problem with the ignition. My key will not go all the way in for some reason, so, I cannot use my car (obviously). I have been reading about similar problems and think it is a frozen ignition lock, but am not sure.
I have had this problem once before and the tow truck driver tapped on the end of my key with a hammer (while it was in the ignition) and it made the tumblers go back into place. Needless to say, I tried that again and had no luck. Does anyone know if this sounds like a frozen ignition lock? I want to be well armed with info when I take it in. Thanks. |
