car accident

~bad way to start a week. monday i was in a car accident. ran into the side of a sundance the pulled out in front of me. it was completely her fault. on top of that she had no insurance, drivers liscense, identificaiton, wrong plates on the car, no registration, a title with no sale date or signature, barely spoke broken english. dont know what happened to her as i was in uniform and on my way to the armory. got out of there rather quick. ( after the police showed and did paperwork )

~as it stands right now i need a new right front headlight assembly and bumper. have to get the rim repolished as well. should i go with stock body parts or an aftermarket kit?

~any help would be apprecaited.

Re: car accident

Have a friend that works at a body shop do an estimate on the damage. Tell him to tell the insurance that the cost is pretty high that way when they send u the check u can order aftermarket stuff without paying out of ur pocket. U might even have some left over.

Re: car accident

I was on a mainstreet driving about 35 mph when my girlfriend's best friend pulls out infront of me for a parking lot. I slam on my breaks and lock my wheels. I couldn't swerve or I'd hit parked cars so I hit her in the rear drivers side quarter... Well actually smashed her hubcap and cracked her bumper. Well my 95 ford escort died.... im sad it sux not having a car. but mine was totaled but it sounds like ur damage was less than mine. My bumper flew a couple feet awat smashed up my headlights dented the hood raped my driversside fender and my wheels rubbed when i turned and after i got home my clutxh went out and i couldnt shift into anygear. so ya.. but i made 500 off my car. What I did to get more money from the insurance was go on autotrader.com and found some outrageously expensive escorts and the insurance gave me more money. Not fraud but dont take the 1st lowball bid. push it

Re: car accident

I had a 92 t-bird that an escort pulled out in front of with me going about 40 I locked it down and couldn't swerve because of new cars on the right for sale and oncomming traffic to the left.

Anyway I used the aftermarket stuff on my car to get me more money from the ram air I had just put on it to the steering wheel I bent. But I got a lot more then the car was worth.

Use every advantage against the insurance co. Why not they'll screw you over as soon as they get the chance.

By the way I used the money to buy a 95 4.6 T-bird and had enough for pipes and a ram air hood!
