2002 ranger hp tweak questions

my sisters bf has a 2002 for ranger edge 4x4 with the V6 3.0 motor and 5 speed....

hes wantin to know what kinda mods can he do to get more power or well small power and etc.....

any thoughts or suguestions will help thanks

K&N air induction kit with new mass air flow sonsor,gibson exhaust,JET performance chip. thats about it. should get close to 200hp frm the stock 160hp

how do u pull the air box out from the truck? i sat there tryin to pull that damm thing out for at least 30 mins in fear of crackin it

there's lots to do
- MSD 6A ignition system. The ignition itself cost $149.95 and is part #MSD-6200 at Summitracing.com. - - get the 6AL if you want a built in rev limiter
- for even more spark, get the blaster 2 coil
- lots of new tech high power spark plugs
- high cca (cold cranking amp) battery (ie yellow top Optima)
- you can make your own exhaust, or there are several on the market (ie Gibson, Flowmaster etc) or from

- you can make your own intake with a cone filter and some piping, or buy one, from

- buy a new MAF, which will work with the computer
- JBA and Pacesetter both make headers
- Camcraft makes a hi-po cam for it
- Whipple makes a supercharger for the later models like the one he has with the 3.0 engine
