APR stage I/II chip installed!!

I just got my chip installed on my 98 A4 1.8TQM. Wow what a difference. I already had DTM style exhaust(cat-back) and the sound was a little loud under hard acceleration. The chip smoothed out the sound and now it is great. The new 220 Hp and 250 ft/lbs of torque really make a difference. It feels like a different car. I highly recommend this upgrade.

Re: APR stage I/II chip installed!!

Yeah, 220 is optimistic. I do only run 93 octane and they don't show the dyno for that. I also have a K&N filter, so I figure I get a few more with both of those. I would throw it on a dyno, but the few we have in town are only 2wd, so I have to guestimate.

Re: APR stage I/II chip installed!!

I don't know, maybe in the 14's. 0-60 in the 7's. My bro has a 99 GTP and I still can't get him. I'm close though. It feels faster and you can tell the difference, but untill I get a new turbo, I won't feel any huge gains. The upgrade is worth the price, but it won't make it the fastest car on the road or anything. I have taken multiple tuned Civics without any problem though. My car's not all flashy with stickers and stuff, just lowered with exhaust and other stuff, and when some poser in a civic with 4" tachs and huge mufflers and neon and logos all over pulls up next to you, you can laugh at him and take him in every gear no problem.
