I first thought it may have been electrical....auto elec could not find problem and suggested replacing engine management system. Then tried running fuel to empty and filling with high octane fuel and fuel conditioner/injector cleaner. The problem seems to be less frequent if the tank is kept full. Sometimes I can go a week without a problem and other days it can stop a dozen times on the way to work. Usually starts again immediately (slip in into neutral and restart on the go) but on sereral occassions has only started after a few minutes rest.
So far mechanics have been guessing solutions ranging from cheap to ridiculous. Can anyone advise?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
