Head Swap

i have a f22b dohc and i heard that this motor took the place of the h23. Since the h23 took the place of the f22b then my question is this. Can you swap the head of a h22 onto a h23? If that is true then wouldn't you be able to swap the h22 head onto the f22b? Any and every reply can be helpful.

Re: Head Swap

I've been thinking about doing this setup but ive never really got the time or money, this f22b vtec is very uniqe to me and would work better than an ls/vtec because i think that the h22a engine is much more stronger...

Re: Head Swap

You cant swap the head of an H22 onto a f22 because they are different series blocks. The f22 has a different size bore than the H22 and H23. The H22 head can be put onto an H23 because they are the same block, its just the H23 is pretty much an H22 w/ a longer stroke. I'm thinking about doing this H22 vtec head swap onto the H23

Re: Head Swap

i think you are confused, a b1820a swap is where you put the vtec head off of a Integra GSR (B18c) and put it onto a B20 block. The B20 is the engine from a CRV, its pretty much a GSR motor w/ more displacement
