Reset my cars computer
How do I reset the computer on a 96 Eclipse RS without taking it to an auto parts store.. I heard you can unhook the battery, and press petals and stuff.. not sure how though..

pull the negative wire off the battery and let it sit for 5-10 mins... then put it back on, but leave the positive connected!

Why is it that you take off the negative? I know thats how u do it. But it seems kinda weird.

So it loses power, when theirs no neg (ground) then the positive will not work. So the ECU will not be getting power.
I just leave it unplugged over night. If you have the stock radio, make sure you have the radio code.
