tips on buying a maxima
What kind of maxima do you think I should get and what year should I get? Just your personal opinion.

Re: tips on buying a maxima
i'd say either a 4th gen (95-99) or a 5.5 gen (02-03). SE trim, 5 or 6 speed manual, depending on which generation you go with.

Re: tips on buying a maxima
I agree but, I'd go for the 97-99 if you were looking into the 4th gens, the 95-96 have a funny back-end styling and an out dated front-end. The 02-03 are amazing but the 04's are just pimp.

It depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to race, then it's 4th Gen. If you just want to "pimp yo ride", then you may like the 3rd Gens. Other than power, I like my 91 better than my 97. It seemed like my 91 had slightly more interior space. It was easier to replace the speakers, especially in the rear deck. You dress up a Gen 4 and it looks like a sports car. You dress a Gen 3 and it's a gangsta ride. I would not personally go back any further than 93. DOHC.
