Power Window Cable Broken...

This is my first post to this forum and I hope I get some help with this problem. I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton and was putting the window up the other day. Halfway up i heard a banging noise inside the door and the window stopped. To make a long story short I found a broke piece of cable inside the door but have managed to get the window all the way up so it stays closed.

Can this cable be replaced seperately or do I have to buy the whole power window thing to fix this? I believe my motor is ok and the problem is the broken cable.

Any help is greatly appreciated... what do i need to buy to fix this? Is it the regulator?

Anyone giving me the answer please send email to [email protected] thanks.

Re: Power Window Cable Broken...

I haven't looked at my regulator to be sure but i had a camry with a similiar setup. Chances are you'll have to replace the regulator assembly but not the motor. The motor should just screw or bolt onto the regulator unit.
