Re: turbo
You are better off putting your own kit together rather than buying a " turn key kit ". It will cost you less money at the expense of a little research. I dont not have a " kit " and I feel my car is great.

Re: turbo
I went ahead and just bought the greddy kit off of
ebay for 2699.99 with a I.C. included. I got the money from the 96 accord I just sold and still have money to upgrade parts if needed. I haven't installed it yet but I will let you know how it turns out. |

Re: turbo
I love my kit, except they screwed me on my intercooler, f___ City-speed.com. It runs really strong and pulls hard. If you know how to do the none cost effective upgrades a kit is well worth it no mater who anyone (or a no one /\)says! l

Also, hondaboy2153, when people say a Greddy kit is all show and know go, they mean in reference to other turbo kits out there or a build it yourself kit. Of course the Greddy Kit will yeild more power and pull than no turbo at all. Compared to the stock n/a motor, of course you will notice more kick and pull with the Greddy kit. You just went from no boost to 8psi. Even with a lower end kit like Greddy you'll notice improvement. However, when compared to the results of a good B-I-Y kit or a well put toghter ready to buy kit, it becomes more of a "show turbo" than a "go turbo" in the fact that you'll usually yeild better performance results with a different kit or a B-I-Y one. You'd Basically get more bang for your buck. Remember, when buying products for your car, cheaper ins't always better, and more expensive doesn't mean better either. It's all about the qaulity of the products, how realible they will be, how well they will work toghter, the results they will yeild, etc. Anyways, I am glad to see you are realitvly happy with your purchase. |

Re: turbo
I just got a voice mail from city-speed and I just want to apoligize to them for the comment I made. I thought they were not going to send me an intercooler with my kit but it is on back order and I did not recieve there email. So hopefully I will recieve the intercooler in a couple weeks.
Another problem, I am only running 5 psi. with the kit without the I.C., which is good since I don't have the intercooler. I am just happy I don't have to spend the extra money on the I.C.. I had to by the type S blow off valve and make a custom flange, but it works(250.00). |

Re: turbo
you can still boost up your turbo to 8psi without having to run your IC but anything more than 8psi your gonna have to beef up ur engine. not only that even at 5psi your engine will start to wear out so beefing up ur internal its always a good idea.
