mass airflow sensor

My MAF is bad (per the Nissan dealership) $750 to replace
Called Autozone $150 for the part.
Is it easy to put in?
Are there any adjustments I can make to correct the "bad" one.
Thank you for any input.

Maf Replacement

The maf is easy to replace and should take less than 30 minutes.
Depending on the year, this is a calibrated unit and is not repairable
by the home mechanic. Have you removed the hoses and check to see if the inside of the maf is dirty? If the unit is dirty it can be cleaned with carb cleaner. Also, make sure that your air filter is not clogged.
Do this BEFORE you spend the money for a new MAF.

Re: mass airflow sensor

There are a some resistance and voltage checks you can do ahead of condemning it entirely. Check the Haynes manual for details.
