If i have the 450cc injectors and a stock GST fuel pump, what exactly do I have to do to have them work with the RS motor. Will the ECU just handle it or what and do i just run the same lines? I would like details if anyone would be willing to give them.

Re: RST project
you need somthing to tune you 450cc injectors to the stock ecu fuel map specs. you can run a piggy-back system, or dsmlink. your pump is probably fine for now, but what are you trying in the future to do? for $90 you can get a walbro 255, and use vfaq to install it. that will supply alot of needed fuel/hour rate for anything you want to do in the future. as for your flow, your kinda limited with the 450cc injectors, are they high or low impedence? i would suggest reading flow charts for those injectors. then sit down and think about how much realisticly you want to spend for the HP, read a bit more about fuel delivery. your gs moator will run your injecters, but its probably going be running rich, and you'll probably burn your plugs and wires out fast, not to mention idel rough. but first of all what are intentions?

the injectors and pump will work fine on the stock ECU, it would be better to have and AFC or some type of controller but it wont hurt any to run it off the ECU... although you need to be boosting for it to run right! 4-5 psi is plenty for the injectors to run fine, although i wouldnt put that stuff in until you turbo the car or get a S-AFC otherwise you will be running to rich!
and for the comment about DSMlink... they dont make it yet for the non turbo, it sucks i know but oh well, just repin your harness to work with the turbo ECU and you'll be good to go! |
