'98 C/K with 4.3 looking to swap in a 5.7

I'm thinking about swaping in the L31 5.7 V8 that was an option from the dealership into my '98 C/K. I'm going to get the short block from GM performance parts, along with the oil pump and pan. This is what I plan to use to finish off the engine:

-Edelbrock E-tec Aluminum Heads
-Crane Gold Rollers Rockers (1.5 ratio)
-Crane Pushrods
-Comp Cams 252H Cam with hydra. roller lifter
-Flowtech Ceramic Coated Headers
-Catco reproduction Y-pipe and high flow cats
-2 flowmaster 40-series mufflers dumped
-GM stock CPI manifold and complete injection system
-All the stock smog stuff
-BBK throttle body
-Airaid Intake
-MSD ignition
-Jet pullies
-Inland Empire Aluminum Driveshaft
-Nitrious Express E.F.I Kit
-GM "brain box"
-GM Wiring harness

The transmission is a 46LOE that will be built to handle 450hp. I want to use a Be-Cool radiator and swap the factory fan for a Dual Cool Pack 2 Electric Fans. Has anyone done this conversion? Was it pretty straight forward?

With the engine swap, will things like the A/C, power steering, etc. for the 4.3 V6 swap over to the 5.7 V8 with the correct brackets and hoses?

I plan to build a 10-bolt 8.5" rearend with an Eaton posi, strange gears, and Richmond 3:73 street gears? Do you think this will be reliable for everyday driving and an occaional launch on the dragstrip or should I go with a 12-bolt? The truck is my daily driver.

Has anyone done the 4.3 to 5.7 swap and had any trouble when it came time to get your truck inspected? That's the only thing I really worry about!

Question

Did you end up doing the swap? I'm just starting a swap myself. Attempting to put a bored out 5.7L out of my totaled 89 K1500 into a 93' K1500. My concern is that the 93 has the 4.3L and I know a few things need to change, but I'm not sure what all does. Let me know how your swap wen't down if you get a chance. Thanks- Chad

i have done 4.3 vortec to a first gen 383 stroker in a 97 k 1500. and all my v6 bracket bolted right up to the old block. and your tranny is a 4l60e. you sound like you want to put a ton of money in this truck. i think you can go up to your local dealership and get your computer burned to your new cam spec. unless your going to put a stock 5.7 computer. but it wont give you the fuel that you want in a high horsepower motor. i wired my whole hanrness and bought a custom done computer and had all it burned to my cam specs. good luck with all your parts. and the super 40's are loud as hell.
