New Engine

I have a 96 Sonoma with a 4.3L V6 and the engine blew up yesterday and im trying to figure out if i can put a V8 into it w/o having to change the transmission. So if anyone could tell me if a V8 can be put into my sonoma and what size it would be appreciated -thank you

The transmission should bolt up to 5.7 I know. 5.3 you may have to change the bell housing
