I'm talking the works. better internals (Need suggestions), port and polish the head. and of course a big turbo (need some help on that too). One more thing i would also like to put an aftermarket camshaft, performance valves. Like i said the whole works is there any sites out there that sell this stuff. also if I forgot anything could you tell me. Thanks, i need help in the hardest way on this.

Quote:
The stock unit is nothing to sneeze at and you can get a complete engine from the factory for $2,815.00 You have to get the metal head gasket, studs and an oil pan, and you are done. Upgrade from there and you can make 275-380 horses. No core charge so you can still build a little inline monster if you want. |

Re: 7MGTE Performance
I can see why he would want to buy a brand new 7mgte from toyota, when he's going to completely tear it back down, end up throwing out the pistons and valves and rebuild it again. Save yourself a grand or more and rebuild what you have now. Also a cam will only move your powerband around on the 7m, allowing you to fine tune it for what you need. It doesn't get much better than the stock ones (unless you want 700hp) and that's exactly why there were only three different cams made for it. ROSS, Weisco, JUN, there are lots of aftermarket pistons available. For the rods stockers will hold just fine, if you plan on over 500ish hp you should have them shotpeened/stress relieved, there are some other tricks you can do but that will hold all the HP you'll throw at them. Porting the head is a very good way to gain some quicker spool and some extra HP. You have to find a very reputable shop that does lots of porting to do it though, and they obviously have to have a flowbench. Throw in some lighter 1mm oversized valves and a good MHG and you've got a very nicely built engine. As for the turbo, well that all depends on your goals, your wallet, your driving habits, there are literally tons of options out there. Be more specific and maybe someone can help.
