Re: Trying to push my lsvtec to 450hp....
since money isn't a problem, get a rebuilt engine from these guys http://www.hondaraceengines.com/enginebuilding.htm
then install a stage 3 turbo kit from rev hard http://www.revhard.com/turbo_kits.html and give it some good boost. 450 hp is too much for me, 300-325whp maximum is my goal.

wouldn't it be better not to go v-tec and stick with b18 head because they are better for boosting?

jeezus. 350 whp is alot for a fwd honda. you definitly going to need turbo. to handle that much boost, you'll need forged internals(pistons, rods) and youll need to resleeve your block. but i recommend visiting
www.honda-tech.com and search there too. slicks for the strip. youll spin tires in about every gear |

also, you dont really need a vtec head for turbo. but if you got money then by all means go ahead. a good p&p on your ls head will suffice

Re: Trying to push my lsvtec to 450hp....
go to jim wolf for a ecu not hondata thats all i know. this is way above me. 450 is a hell of alot. thats like a 11.08 in the 1/4.. thats just from the Calculator so dont get to happy and you have a lot of work in front of you....... thats just my take....

my friends friend has a GSR w/ a Type R motor swap w/ a turbo, not sure what kind but he claims to have like 330 hp at 10psi. If thats true just get a type r and boost it

Re: Trying to push my lsvtec to 450hp....
10psi on a type r should be pushing alot more hp than that .... an ls with 12 psi can do about 260- 300 hp with the right tunning

Re: Trying to push my lsvtec to 450hp....
Sleeve, Crank work, Pistons, rods, berrings, ARP head bolts, performance gaskets, stage 5 clutch, Hondata tuned on RCI 750cc injectors all on a custom T4/T3 turbo kit w/ Starion FMIC. Cost in the lower end Of $7000, and will push 450-550 whp depending on fuel tuning.
