Can Header harm a Prelude??

My dead swears up and down that a Header can "RUIN" an engine. Is this true?? and he also swears up and down that I will have nothing but problems as soon as I install the header on my 93' SI prelude. What are the facts??

Re: Can Header harm a Prelude??

Tell him you're buying a new exhaust manifold and downpipe because your old ones are rusted. Because that's what a header is.

The worst a header can do on a Prelude is make you lose hp/torque.

Re: Can Header harm a Prelude??

I have had a header on my prelude for over 5 years. 0 Problems, unless you call getting adicted to modifications a problem. LOL hehe

Re: Can Header harm a Prelude??

DC-S headers suck. If you heat wrap the OEM header, you get a better system... I've explained why I swear against DC-S before.

Re: Can Header harm a Prelude??

we'll find out how bad they suck as soon as I install mine.. I have to take my lude to an exhaust shop because the bolts on the downpipe are basically welded on
